Job summary

Fortrex is seeking a Director of Risk Management to lead the enterprise risk program across the organization. The role focuses on developing a formal ERM framework, risk appetite, and risk register while guiding workers' compensation, insurance, and claims strategies to minimize losses.

The hybrid role requires collaboration with Safety, Legal, HR, and Finance, with on-site presence at Fortrex HQ in Atlanta, GA several days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) with graduate level preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in risk management and general claims experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to use metrics and data to drive continuous improvement and efficiency.
• Strong knowledge of all classes of insurance and self-insurance programs; experience designing ERM programs.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead enterprise risk management (ERM) program and framework.
• Oversee workers' compensation, insurance programs, and risk controls.
• Advise Leadership on policy issues with risk and safety implications.
• Manage claims and negotiate strategies to control loss costs.
• Coordinate with external TPAs and advisors; ensure robust data reporting.
• Develop risk reports for senior leadership and the Board as needed.
• Collaborate with Safety, Legal, HR, Finance on risk-related matters.
• Develop business continuity and crisis management plans.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce costs.
