Responsibilities

  • Serve as a central coordination point during events, working directly with business leaders, technology teams, and risk partners.
  • Support activation and execution of the Event Response framework and related activities.
  • Facilitate communication, coordination, and tracking of actions across responding teams.
  • Assist in managing event status reporting and escalation updates to leadership.
  • Maintain and update crisis management, event response, and playbook documentation.

This role serves as a key member of the Enterprise Resiliency team and provides leadership in preparedness, response coordination, stakeholder communication, and continuous improvement activities. This role ensures that event response documentation, processes, and coordination mechanisms are maintained and executed effectively. The Crisis Manager partners across business units, technology, cybersecurity, risk management, communications, and executive leadership to ensure effective management of events and support organizational resilience objectives.This position includes on-call responsibilities (approximately 20-30% of the time) and may be required to support event response activities outside normal business hours.Key ResponsibilitiesEvent Response ExecutionServe as a central coordination point during events, working directly with business leaders, technology teams, and risk partnersSupport activation and execution of the Event Response framework and associated response activitiesFacilitate communication, coordination, and tracking of actions across responding teamsAssist in managing event status reporting and escalation updates to leadershipDocumentation & GovernanceMaintain and update crisis management, event response, and playbook documentationEnsure documentation reflects current processes, roles, and regulatory expectationsCapture and document key decisions, actions, and outcomes during eventsSupport post-incident review activities, including tracking follow-up actions to completionPlanning & PreparednessPartner with Enterprise Resiliency team members to plan and execute exercises and simulationsSupport ongoing enhancement of event response frameworks, tools, and processesIdentify opportunities to improve response effectiveness, coordination, and documentationContribute to development of standards, guidance, and training materialsStakeholder EngagementCollaborate with cross-functional leaders across business, technology, risk, and communicationsSupport alignment between Enterprise Resiliency and lines of business during both planning and responseFacilitate coordination across teams to ensure consistent and effective event response practicesRequired QualificationsBachelors degree or equivalent with a degree focus in business continuity, crisis response, incident management; or equivalent work experience.Strong written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and documentation management skills5-7 years business continuity planning or crisis management experienceKnowledge of crisis management processes and procedures.Preferred QualificationsCertifications Preferred: Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP)Strong customer service orientation.In-Office CollaborationWe are a client-centric, relationship-based business. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
