Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System in Baltimore seeks a Project Coordinator to support EPMO project managers, senior project managers, and portfolio leaders with task tracking, documentation, reporting, and communications across the EPMO team and UMMS stakeholders.

The role maintains project records, prepares reports, and ensures timely submission of change controls and approvals while promoting safety and professional growth. 3 years’ experience and a Bachelor’s degree are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3 years of project coordination/project support experience required.
• PMP certification preferred not required; if job position is accepted, PMP certification must be completed 24 months from work start date.

Responsibilities

• Assists in organizing, tracking progress, monitoring project tasks, scope, timelines, budget, and deliverables in accordance with EPMO controls, standards, and governance.
• Supports communications between cross functional UMMS stakeholder teams, EPMO project managers, EPMO leadership, contractors, suppliers, and vendors.
• Maintains project documentation, including schedules, reports, statuses, and KPI results.
• Track project budgets, expenses, and invoice payments.
• Identifies potential risks, issues, or delays and escalates appropriately to minimize impacts.
• Provides project reports timely and in the EPMO standard format.
• Submits project change controls in accordance with EPMO governance guidelines.
• Secures the approvals related to projects in accordance with EPMO governance guidelines.
• Provides administrative support such as scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking meeting notes.
• Contribute to improving EPMO project management processes and workflows.
• Complete training to promote safety, enhance patient care and professional growth.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
