Job summary

Apex Systems in Merrifield, VA seeks a Technical Lead / Solution Architect to guide architecture, strategy, and implementation of a strategic enterprise platform. The role centers on building a scalable, AI-enabled release certification platform with strong governance and analytics.

You will lead architecture reviews, define data and security models, and collaborate across teams to ensure alignment with business goals while driving DevSecOps practices and platform resiliency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in CS, SE, IS, or related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ in lead/architect roles.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale platforms with multiple integrations and large data volumes.
• Strong cloud-native, microservices, APIs, and event-driven architecture experience.
• Deep knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
• Experience designing enterprise data models, RBAC security, observability and monitoring strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall technical architecture and implementation strategy for the enterprise platform.
• Define architecture patterns for applications, integrations, data, analytics, security, governance, and AI.
• Establish canonical data model for releases, requirements, tests, defects, audits.
• Design and govern integrations with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and other systems.
• Set coding standards and DevSecOps practices with engineering teams.
• Conduct architecture and design reviews and technical decision meetings.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers.
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to align solutions with objectives.
• Drive platform scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
• Support roadmaps, architecture artifacts, and implementation plans.
• Evaluate emerging tech to improve release cert, test automation, analytics.
