Job summary

SCA Health is seeking a Pharmacy Services and Medication Safety Director to provide enterprise strategic direction for pharmaceutical management across a national network of ambulatory surgery centers and facilities.

The role requires PharmD with at least ten years of leadership experience, state licensure, and expertise in compliance, sourcing, and medication safety. Strong collaboration with clinical and operations teams is essential.

Qualifications

• PharmD required.
• Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in at least one U.S. state required; ability to obtain additional licensure.
• Minimum ten years of progressive pharmacy leadership experience, including multi-state or system-level roles.
• Experience in ambulatory surgery centers, outpatient procedural care, or hospitals.
• Experience with regulatory readiness and compliance frameworks (AAAHC, The Joint Commission, CMS).

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise strategic direction for pharmaceutical management across a national network of facilities.
• Lead medication safety programs, including stewardship and risk mitigation.
• Oversee sourcing, contracting, formulary standardization, and supply chain efficiency.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across pharmacy operations and controlled substance stewardship.
• Develop dashboards and metrics to monitor performance and quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with clinical, operational, supply chain, and risk teams to drive enterprise initiatives.
