Job summary

SEACORP is seeking a Kubernetes/Cloud Architect in Middletown, RI to lead the design and evolution of an enterprise PaaS built on Kubernetes. You will define architecture, standards, and automation to deploy workloads consistently across environments.

The role requires deep Kubernetes expertise, with responsibility for storage, networking, service mesh, security, and platform automation. Collaboration with multiple teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 7+ years of infrastructure/cloud/platform engineering experience; 3+ years building enterprise Kubernetes platforms in production.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, control plane, networking, storage, security, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and technical strategy for an enterprise Kubernetes-based PaaS.
• Define reference architectures for platform components (RKE2, CRI-O, Istio, Prometheus, Grafana, Ceph, Helm, Ansible, Kustomize).
• Design highly available, secure clusters and standardize provisioning, upgrades, backups, and DR.
• Establish platform networking, storage, service mesh, observability, and security patterns.
• Mentor engineers and align platform decisions with business goals.
