Description

Leidos’s Digital Modernization Sector’s Office of Technology is currently seeking a lead IT Solutions Architect (SA) with 20+ years of broad Information Technology experience. The successful candidate will have been a proposal technical lead engineer for multiple proposal teams bidding complex and competitive proposals. The lead SA will have familiarity with End User Services, Network Services, Data Center and Cloud Infrastructure, App Migration, and Cyber Security and overall ITSM with expertise in one of the areas. This is an exciting opportunity to use your technical expertise and leadership experience in support of our US Federal Information Technology customers.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Serve as a lead technical architect across the new business pursuit lifecycle and within an integrated growth team, including proposal, capture, and business development activities.
2. Provide end-to-end thought leadership across proposal responses that include elements such as technical solution, partners, staffing, implementation schedule, and BOE.
3. Lead solution development across the following core areas: End User Services, Cloud Infrastructure and App Migration; Infrastructure and App Managed Services; Network Services, Cyber Security; Application Development.
4. Lead development of notional, logical, and physical solutions diagram and integration of solution into customer’s environment in a manner that fully meets all technical and management requirements.
5. Provide technical writing capabilities in the development of technical artifacts, white papers, statements of work, briefings, and proposals, etc.
6. Support customer meetings to understand customer requirements and provide solution presentations to the customer.
7. Lead responses to customer RFI’s, White Papers and RFPs.
8. Work with teaming partners to develop technical solutions, integration of teaming partners’ capabilities, and pricing strategies, etc.
9. Work with engineering staff to extract information in a structured process to create winning technical solutions for proposals.

Basic Qualifications

1. Requires Master's degree and 15+ years of prior relevant experience. Additional years experience may be used in lieu of a degree.
2. 7+ years of experience leading technical teams.
3. Excellent written and oral communication capability with the ability to communicate with executive leadership regarding matters of significant importance to the organization.
4. Experience designing and delivering IT solutions.
5. Experience performing IT systems engineering functions.
6. Experience with proposals and program execution.
7. Experience with project management and understanding of project management functions. Capable of proposing large scale change across multiple IT disciplines to plan and deliver modernization into an enterprise.
8. Familiarity with IT Operations to include multi-tier service desk and SLA management.
9. Capable of obtaining a DoD Secret clearance.

Desired Qualifications

1. Commercial or federal IT engineering leadership experience as a Chief Engineer or Chief Architect.
2. Experienced proposing and injecting new technology advancements into ongoing operations.
3. Experience estimating technical and operations costs and planning delivery of new IT projects.
4. Experience identifying and assessing business impacts to proposed changes to a largely technical solution or enterprise operations.
5. ITIL foundations certification.
6. This position is a full-time telecommuter and ideally based in the Washington DC Metro area, but this is not required.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $148,850.00 - $269,075.00
