Job summary

Syracuse University, via Information Technology Services, seeks an IT Architect to design and maintain enterprise identity and infrastructure management platforms across distributed IT admins and campuses. The role bridges on-premises and cloud services using Entra ID and Graph API to enable scalable, secure access and device lifecycle management at scale.

Candidates will code in C#/.NET and PowerShell, apply DevOps practices, and document architectural decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of experience in computing technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience integrating on-premises and cloud-based computing infrastructures.
• Familiarity with enterprise identity and device management tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise CLI tooling for identity and infrastructure management.
• Architect Entra ID tenant infrastructure and hybrid identity synchronization.
• Design and maintain authentication systems including smartcard/PIV enrollment and FIDO2 deployment.
• Support Autopilot and Intune-based device provisioning and management at scale.
• Evaluate security risks to infrastructure and participate in incident response.
