Job summary

Capgemini in New York is seeking an experienced Application Development & Integration Solution Architect to lead enterprise-scale architecture design and delivery in a highly regulated financial services environment.

The role requires deep expertise in cloud-native technologies, API design, and integration platforms, with collaboration across business stakeholders and technology teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions. Onsite/Hybrid from Day 1 in NY.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 9+ years designing, architecting, and delivering enterprise-scale application and integration solutions.
• Minimum 3 years in Banking, Financial Services, Capital Markets, or other highly regulated industries.
• Deep understanding of Enterprise Architecture principles and methodologies.
• Strong expertise in Distributed Systems, Microservices Architecture, SOA, and Event-Driven Architecture.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale business applications supporting complex processes.
• Strong experience with RESTful APIs, API lifecycle management, middleware platforms, and messaging technologies.
• Experience on Microsoft Azure and cloud-native application services.
• Hands-on with Java, Python, Spring Boot, .NET Core, Angular, React, Shell Scripting, and SQL.
• Knowledge of security, IAM, authentication, encryption, and secure software design.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data integration, and data management.
• Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and consulting skills.
• Strong experience leading architecture governance and cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, secure, highly available, and resilient application architectures for enterprise platforms.
• Define end-to-end solution architectures across application, integration, data, security, and infrastructure domains.
• Translate complex business requirements into enterprise-scale technical solutions.
• Develop and present solution architectures, reference architectures, integration strategies, and roadmaps to senior stakeholders.
• Lead architecture discovery and design workshops with business and tech teams.
• Design and govern API-first architectures, microservices, and event-driven integration patterns.
• Architect integrations between internal and external enterprise systems.
• Establish architectural principles, development standards, and reusable frameworks.
• Evaluate existing applications and drive modernization using cloud-native and microservices architectures.
• Ensure solutions meet security, scalability, resiliency, observability, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Data, Product, Risk, and Compliance teams.
• Drive continuous improvement by evaluating emerging technologies and modern practices.
