NTT DATA is seeking an Applied AI Researcher in Jersey City, NJ, to bridge advanced AI research with enterprise use cases across banking-related applications. You will lead experiments, design production-ready AIRP prototypes, and collaborate with engineering teams to hand off models optimized for AWS hosting.

A strong background in GenAI, NLP, and LLMs is required. Preferred candidates hold an advanced degree and have hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, vector search, and

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in AI/ML or related field.
• Strong foundation in ML, NLP, transformers and GenAI.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, embeddings, RAG and evaluation.
• Ability to translate research to production-ready AWS-hosted AIRP solutions.

Responsabilités

• Conduct applied research in LLMs, GenAI, NLP, retrieval and multimodal AI.
• Design experiments to evaluate performance, robustness, safety, and production feasibility.
• Prototype AI solutions for banking use cases and governance tracking.
• Develop evaluation methodologies with golden datasets and risk criteria.
• Collaborate with engineers to convert prototypes into AIRP requirements on AWS.
• Track advances in AI research and translate them into enterprise recommendations.
