Job summary

Cognizant in Charlotte, NC is seeking a GenAI and Agentic AI Architect to shape enterprise Generative AI solutions, copilots, and intelligent agents. You will architect, design, and hands-on develop using LLMs, vector databases, RAG, and cloud-native patterns.

This hybrid role requires 4 days per week in an office, with a focus on cloud-native architecture, CI/CD, and AI-assisted software engineering. Salary range $116,100–$180,000 plus incentive programs and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of technology experience with hands-on software engineering, solution architecture, and cloud-native development.
• Proven experience designing production-grade Generative AI solutions using leading LLMs.
• Strong experience with agent orchestration, RAG, vector databases, prompt engineering, and context engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and hands-on development of enterprise GenAI and Agentic AI solutions.
• Architect scalable AI applications, copilots, intelligent agents, and reusable accelerators; leverage LLMs and orchestration frameworks.
• Establish reusable AI engineering patterns and CI/CD practices for cloud-native enterprise software.
