Job summary

AbbVie seeks an Enterprise Data Operations Senior Manager to lead a team of platform engineers and oversee multiple infrastructure platforms in a fully on-site role. You will drive platform roadmaps, ensure compliance and security, and manage budget and renewals while engaging with upper management on KPI reporting.

The role requires strong software engineering background, cloud and AWS expertise, and experience with IT audits, prototyping new solutions, and security considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years' experience or Master’s with 7 years' experience or PhD with 3 years' experience
• Experience screening and managing technical resources with clear delivery expectations
• Previous experience managing a team of IT engineers
• New solution prototyping, implementation, and security awareness
• Previous experience with IT audits
• Strong software engineering background
• Understanding of platform engineering, cloud platforms, IaaS, and user experience
• Understanding of AWS infrastructure, networking concepts, and troubleshooting (firewalls, load balancers)
• Proven ability to engage engineering teams as a technical peer and discuss architectural trade-offs
• Strong presentation skills and ability to summarize technical projects for upper management
• Understanding of encryption and secure data movement

• Understanding ofplatform engineering, cloud platforms, infrastructure as a service, anduserexperience.
• Understanding ofAWS infrastructure, networking concepts, and troubleshooting (firewalls, load balancers,etc.)
• Proven ability to engage engineering teams as a technical peer—can discuss architectural trade-offs, evaluate technical debt, and contribute to design discussions.
• Strong presentation skills. Ability to effectively summarize technical projects for uppermanagement.
• Understanding of encryption and secure data movement

• ServiceNow CMDB and ticketing systems
• Prior experience identifying automation opportunities and successfully deploying production-ready solutions
