Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior data governance leader to develop and oversee enterprise-wide AI-ready data governance strategies. You will partner with executives to drive adoption, manage risk, and align data initiatives with Technology and Operations Services.

You will lead cross-functional teams, design training programs, and establish metrics to gauge governance effectiveness. Requires 10+ years in data management or transformation leadership; banking/finance experience preferred; frequent travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• 10+ years progressive experience in data management, governance, program management, or transformation leadership.
• Preferably experience in banking, finance, or data-driven organizations.
• Ability to communicate face to face, in person, or by phone with teammates and clients.
• Frequent use of a PC/laptop.
• Ability to occasionally operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver's license.
• Routine and frequent travel, including overnight stays.
• Compliance with KeyBank policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee enterprise-wide AI-ready data governance strategies.
• Lead impact analyses, readiness assessments, and stakeholder mapping.
• Serve as executive sponsor for data governance programs.
• Build coalitions with senior leaders to drive adoption of data initiatives.
• Anticipate and mitigate risks, dependencies, and resistance across the enterprise.
• Design and deliver communications articulating the vision and progress of data initiatives.
• Collaborate with Communications to produce materials for various audiences.
• Direct the design and implementation of enterprise-wide training programs.
• Partner with HR to embed data governance into talent strategies.
• Guide leadership in defining competencies for the evolving data & analytics operating model.
• Facilitate executive workshops and governance forums.
• Align data governance with Technology and Operations Services for integrated execution.
• Establish and monitor metrics and benchmarks for governance adoption and effectiveness.
• Report progress and improvement areas to executive leadership and governance bodies.
• Lead cross-functional teams in planning and executing multi-year data initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
