Job summary

Commonwealth of PA seeks an OA-Enterprise Data Architect to define and evolve the state’s enterprise information architecture and reusable data products. The role partners with business leaders, product and engineering teams to determine which data assets are shared across agencies and which stay domain-specific.

The candidate should have deep expertise in data modeling, data quality, and data-centric architecture, with extensive experience across cloud platforms and security/regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Programming or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of experience in data architecture or enterprise architecture.
• 8+ years hands-on in data architecture, data engineering, or advanced database design.
• 5+ years with data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, MongoDB on cloud ecosystems.
• Experience with data security, privacy and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the Commonwealth’s enterprise information architecture and reusable data products.
• Identify information assets to share across agencies and which remain domain-specific.
• Create data models, map sources to domains, and support modernization initiatives.
• Develop data contracts and ensure data quality to enable AI capabilities.
