Horace Mann seeks a Senior Enterprise Communications Specialist to craft clear, engaging communications that advance business priorities and connect employees with the information that matters.

You will partner with stakeholders to develop employee communications, leadership messaging, and other communications. Independently manage projects from planning through delivery, combining strong writing, project management, and creative problem‑solving to move initiatives forward.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Progressive communications experience with increasing responsibility.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with ability to simplify complex information.
• Strong project management and organizational capabilities from idea to execution.
• Ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders and subject-matter experts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage enterprise communications plans across projects and initiatives.
• Create communications approaches considering audiences, channels, timing, and outcomes.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand needs and recommend effective approaches.
• Manage communications channels, calendars, and delivery across platforms.
• Identify stories that reinforce enterprise messaging, brand, and priorities.
• Maintain editorial standards for accurate, engaging content.
