Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Solutions Architect to design and architect end-to-end cloud solutions for complex customer requirements, balancing trade-offs for scale, security, cost, and performance. You will build long-term relationships with senior customer leaders, influence strategic direction, and translate business needs into technical designs.

Travel is regional (15-20%), and you will collaborate with sales, engineering, and services teams to accelerate adoption of AWS services

Qualifications

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
• 4+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect end-to-end cloud solutions for complex customer requirements, making technical trade-offs and evaluating architectures for scale while ensuring solutions are extensible, reusable, secure, reliable, cost-optimized, and performant.
• Build and maintain relationships with customer senior leaders, understanding their business objectives and technical challenges to influence strategic direction and ensure technology decisions will meet long-term business outcomes.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences, creating technical content that is easily adopted and reusable by others while harmonizing discordant views to build consensus.
• Lead technical discussions and dive deeply into technical details with customer teams across application architecture, system design, and implementation considerations, proactively identifying gaps and opportunities.
• Drive effective customer feedback gathering, distilling and translating feedback into clear business and technical requirements for product and engineering teams while contributing to reference designs and reusable artifacts.
