Job summary

University of Chicago Booth School of Business is seeking a Senior Data Architect to define and govern the organization’s enterprise data strategy, architecture roadmap, and cloud modernization efforts. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in enterprise data architecture, data engineering, or data warehousing.
• Master’s degree preferred for advanced roles.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern the organization’s enterprise data strategy and architecture roadmap.
• Lead design and optimization of cloud data platforms using Microsoft Azure services.
• Architect data warehouse, lakehouse, data mesh, and data integration solutions.
• Establish standards, governance, data lineage, and security policies.
• Oversee data migrations to cloud-native architectures and DataOps practices.
• Provide technical leadership to data engineers, developers, and AI teams.
• Collaborate with executives and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
