Job description

The Enterprise Business Process Transformation leader is accountable for end-to-end business process transformation across Hilltop Holdings and its subsidiaries. This executive will lead a multi-year transformation agenda that delivers measurable P&L impact, modernizes the operating model, and builds enterprise-grade process engineering capabilities embedded directly within each business.

Enterprise transformation is a holding company strategic priority sponsored by the CEO, requiring coordinated execution across banking, mortgage, and broker-dealer operations. This is an operator role, not a PMO role, focused on delivering outcomes through a pod-based model that combines embedded process consultants with Hilltop’s Enterprise Data and AI Engineering technology teams to create a strong transformation presence within each line of business.

Given the enterprise-wide scope and strategic importance of this role, this leader will serve as the primary executive accountable for transformation, execution, and value realization, maintaining regular engagement with senior leadership and providing periodic updates to the executive team and the Hilltop Holdings Board of Directors.

Responsibilities
Enterprise Transformation Leadership
  • Define and execute the enterprise business process transformation through a “client first” agenda that is aligned to Hilltop’s business, operational, and financial objectives.
  • Establish governance, prioritization, value realization, and reporting frameworks that drive measurable outcomes across the enterprise.
  • Partner with executive leadership to identify, prioritize, and deliver high-impact transformation initiatives.
Transformation Operating Model
  • Lead a targeted portfolio of enterprise transformation initiatives across Hilltop and its subsidiaries.
  • Direct the “pod-based” operating model that integrates process consulting, data engineering, and AI engineering capabilities within each line of business. Enterprise Data Engineers and Enterprise AI Engineers assigned to the pod remain organizationally aligned to Hilltop Technology's Enterprise Data & AI organization while partnering closely with transformation teams.
  • Build and scale enterprise process engineering capabilities while promoting a unified, enterprise-wide transformation approach.
Execution & Value Realization
  • Apply process engineering, methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, data, automation, and AI to redesign operations and improve performance.
  • Drive accountability for business outcomes through disciplined execution, governance, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure transformation efforts deliver measurable operational, financial, customer, and risk-management benefits.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • MBA or advanced degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Engineering Management, or a related quantitative, technical, or engineering discipline is strongly preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification strongly preferred.
  • 15+ years of leadership experience in enterprise transformation, business process reengineering, operational excellence, or related disciplines.
  • Combination of technical, engineering, and business education are highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale transformation programs within complex, multi-entity organizations.
  • Significant experience in financial services, including one or more of the following: banking, mortgage, broker-dealer, wealth management, or related regulated financial firms.
  • Proven track record delivering measurable operational, financial, customer, and risk-management outcomes through business process transformation.
  • Deep expertise in Lean Six Sigma, process engineering, continuous improvement, and operating model redesign.
  • Experience leading enterprise-scale teams and influencing outcomes across multiple business units and stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrated success leveraging data, automation, analytics, and AI to improve business performance and operational efficiency.
  • Proven ability to communicate and operate effectively with executive leadership teams and Boards of Directors.
