Perplexity AI is seeking an experienced Billing Operations Manager to own the enterprise billing lifecycle and translate complex agreements into accurate invoices. You will partner with Deal Desk, Enterprise Sales, Legal, and Customer Success to ensure timely, compliant billing across renewals and expansions.

The role requires hands-on experience with NetSuite and Salesforce, strong ASC 606 knowledge, and a customer‑focused mindset suitable for a fast-paced SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• Experience owning enterprise SaaS or subscription billing
• Ability to translate complex contracts into billing configurations
• Strong understanding of ASC 606 and revenue recognition
• Collaborates with Deal Desk, Sales, Legal, and Customer Success

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise billing operations from customer setup through invoicing, renewals, amendments, and cancellations
• Review nonstandard billing terms with Sales and Deal Desk before contracts are signed
• Translate pricing and terms into billing configurations and schedules
• Serve as primary contact for billing inquiries and disputes; investigate discrepancies
• Support month-end close, reconciliations, and audits with billing data and documentation
• Manage system integrations and resolve billing system failures
• Assist with renewals, expansions, and changes to customer commitments with cross-functional teams
