Role Summary

The Enterprise Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying enterprise architecture frameworks that align IT strategy with business goals, particularly within the mortgage insurance domain. This strategic role involves creating architecture roadmaps, establishing governance, and ensuring technology solutions support business needs.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain architecture strategies, governance frameworks, and standards aligned with business goals.
• Lead the creation of technology roadmaps that meet strategic objectives and respond to business needs.
• Coordinate with Solutions Architects and engage with Business Relationship Managers to understand and advise on technology trends and business objectives.
• Assess and recommend suitable technologies, conducting architectural evaluations and guiding IT investments.
• Lead the architecture community to ensure alignment and quality across all initiatives, collaborating with technical teams.

Key Deliverables (6-12 months)

• Establish a comprehensive enterprise architecture blueprint aligned with strategic and operational goals.
• Develop and begin executing a multi-year technology roadmap addressing industry-specific challenges.
• Implement governance frameworks to ensure architectural consistency across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in enterprise architecture, ideally within mortgage insurance or financial services.
• Proficiency in architectural methodologies like TOGAF or Zachman.
• Strong understanding of the mortgage insurance industry and regulatory environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• TOGAF Certification or similar professional credentials.
• Experience with digital transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of cloud computing, AI/ML, blockchain technologies.

Location & Salary

• Remote with occasional travel to Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
