  • Design, develop, monitor and support applications and provide software development solutions that enable the AAMC's service programs and processes for medical students and schools.
  • Work with business partners to assess needs, document requirements, analyze solutions, and create prototypes for user acceptance.
  • Work with quality assurance team members to ensure the produced implementation meets functional and performance requirements.
  • Contribute to the technical leadership and direction for cloud native development at the AAMC.
  • Provide technical and business explanation and justification for architectural, design, and coding approaches.
  • Provide monitoring solutions for the custom applications.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring for junior team members.
  • Develop integrated solutions to support, maintain and enhance continuing operations of business systems.
  • Automate build processes and deployment practices.
  • Provide expertise and insight into coding best practices, design and architecture of solutions.
  • Perform code reviews of other developers.
  • Participate in development of system documentation according to established standards.
  • Collaborate heavily with fellow architects, business analysts, developers, and project managers to solve problems.
  • Create and maintain reusable enterprise level components.
  • Architecting and implementing IAM solutions to support our AWS based applications
  • Implementation of Multi Factor Authentication
  • Ensuring performance and scalability of IAM solutions
  • Ensuring ForgeRock upgrades proceed without interruption
  • Support third party integrations
  • Provide Tier 2 and 3 level support as needed

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a closely related technical field and eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in developing microservices. Experience must include five (5) years of experience in the following ForgeRock technologies:

  • ForgeRock AM
  • ForgeRock IDM
  • ForgeRock DJ

Demonstrated knowledge** in the following areas:

  • Developing enterprise level, multi-tiered applications
  • Development and implementation of service-oriented architecture
  • Database design and data modeling principles
  • Spring Framework, Hibernate, and database design development and operations

*Any combination of education that has been evaluated by a reputable credentials evaluation service to be the academic equivalent of a U.S. degree will be accepted.

**Knowledge may be demonstrated by any combination of education, training, and/or experience.

SALARY: $180,000 to $215,000/year

LOCATION: 655 K Street NW, Ste. 100, Washington, DC, 20001. Position can be performed from anywhere within the contiguous 48 states.
