Job summary

Spry Methods seeks an Enterprise Architect to support a federal law enforcement and scientific mission environment, delivering secure, high‑performing IT services. The role drives reliability, modernization, and operational excellence across infrastructure, apps, and platforms enabling critical investigative capabilities.

You will oversee a diverse mix of hardware, systems, and OT across interconnected networks, ensuring security, availability, and scalable performance in mission operations.

Qualifications

  • US citizenship with active Top Secret clearance.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience or equivalent certifications.
  • Experience with AWS, Microsoft Windows Server, Citrix, NetApp, Dell Unity/Avamar, Hyper‑V, SQL Server, Azure DevOps, Ivanti, MS Service Manager, Atlassian, MECM, WSUS, BigFix, and Splunk.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance enterprise IT services and solutions to support mission operations for law enforcement and science.
  • Operate at the intersection of traditional IT and specialized scientific/operational tech to ensure performance and availability.
  • Manage server performance against service objectives and drive operational improvements.
  • Gather and analyze user system requirements using multiple methodologies.
  • Develop system requirements, security specs, and test plans.
  • Diagnose and resolve server connectivity, storage, and hardware issues.
  • Monitor performance, identify anomalies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform regular data backups and maintain disaster recovery operations.
  • Support Continuity of Operations (COOP) for mission-critical availability.
  • Apply expertise to improve deployment and maintenance processes.
  • Design, deploy, test, certify, patch interoperability across components.
  • Lead architecture reviews and guide decisions on trade-offs.
  • Explore and integrate emerging technologies into enterprise solutions.

Job description

Position Overview

Spry Methods is seeking an Enterprise Architect to support a federal law enforcement and scientific mission environment delivering secure, high‑performing enterprise IT services. This role contributes directly to the reliability, modernization, and operational excellence of infrastructure, applications, and specialized technology platforms that enable critical investigative and scientific capabilities.

The Enterprise Architect will support a diverse ecosystem of hardware, enterprise systems, applications, and operational technologies across multiple interconnected networks. This position plays a key role in strengthening service delivery, optimizing system performance, and improving integration across platforms to ensure seamless mission execution.

Working at the convergence of enterprise IT and specialized scientific systems, you will ensure supported environments maintain high levels of availability, responsiveness, security, and operational stability. The role requires proactive monitoring of server and system performance, alignment with service level objectives, and continuous identification of process and technical enhancements that increase efficiency, resilience, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities
  • The scope of this program is to enhance enterprise IT services and solutions to this customer component to provide best‑in‑class end‑user support and drive improvements in the operations, management, maintenance and integration of services across multiple networks, systems, and applications to enable and enhance mission operations for law enforcement capabilities.
  • In this role, you will be working at the intersection of traditional IT and specialized scientific and operational technology systems to ensure functionality, performance, availability, responsiveness of supported IT systems and services.
  • You will be accountable for managing server performance against service delivery objectives and identifying and implementing operational improvements to promote efficiency within the organization.
  • Gather and analyze user system requirements using multiple methodologies.
  • Develop technical documentation, including system requirements, security specifications, and test plans.
  • Diagnose and resolve server issues related to connectivity, storage, application status, availability, and hardware.
  • Monitor system performance, identify anomalies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform regular data backups and maintain disaster recovery operations.
  • Support Continuity of Operations (COOP) to ensure mission‑critical availability.
  • Apply technical and business expertise to improve deployment and maintenance processes.
  • Design, deploy, test, certify, patch, and address interoperability issues across all system components.
  • Work independently and collaboratively to enhance system solutions and drive service improvements.
  • Define and enforce enterprise architecture standards and best practices across IT projects.
  • Develop and maintain reference architectures to guide solution design and implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and governance frameworks in all architectural designs.
  • Lead architecture review boards and provide guidance on technical decisions and trade‑offs.
  • Drive innovation by evaluating and integrating emerging technologies into enterprise solutions.
Qualifications
  • US citizenship with active Top Secret clearance.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience, or equivalent certifications demonstrating ability to perform at this level.
