Work is 100% federally funded and time-limited, with hybrid work options and onsite reporting located in Raleigh, NC.

Qualifications

  • Documented knowledge reviewing, guiding, and supporting enterprise-wide IT projects and procurements governed by enterprise architecture.
  • Establishing and upholding state-wide enterprise architecture principles, guidelines, and best practices for consistency, interoperability, security, and optimization.
  • Develop/ Implement Enterprise Standards, Framework, Cloud Strategy, Cloud Governance/Principles Framework
  • Experience developing policies, standards, and guidelines directing IT within the enterprise.
  • Foster innovation via brainstorming sessions, hackathons and other innovation events.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction in all architecture domains to support current and future IT operations and compliance.

Description of Work

Enterprise Architect is responsible for defining Enterprise Architecture (EA) principles, policies, and standards and for leading the integration of these principles and standards with other related business and IT processes. This position provides direction in all architecture domains in support of current and future IT operations, Federal, State and Departmental regulations, and compliance with defined architecture principles, standards and models. EA is accountable for the development, direction, performance, ongoing maintenance, and evolution of NC DHHS’ Business, Application, Data, Technology, Integration and Security architecture frameworks.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

Salary Grade Range: $105,341.00 - $184,345.00
Recruitment Range: $105,341.00 - $155,000.00

  • Documented skill in establishing and upholding state-wide enterprise architecture principles, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency, interoperability, security, and optimization.
  • Develop/ Implement Enterprise Standards, Framework, Cloud Strategy, Cloud Governance/Principles Framework
  • Relevant experience in the development of policies, standards, and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation, and use of Information Technology within the enterprise.
  • Foster innovation and implement creative out-of-the-box ideas by conducting brainstorming sessions, hackathons and other innovation events and elevate the thinking

The IT division (ITD) is one of the divisions that report to the Operational Excellence portfolio. The ITD division comprises four sections: Implementation and Operations, Strategy and Workforce, Enterprise Technology, and Vendor and Finance. ITD offers the following services but not limited to implementations, operations, project/portfolio management, infrastructure, consulting, business division liaison, digital transformation, IT strategy, enterprise technology, IT contract and vendor management, and data office services.
