Job summary

Talent Groups is partnering with a client building out a formal Enterprise Architecture function. We are seeking a Director-level Enterprise Architecture individual contributor to establish the target-state architecture for the Enterprise Platform.

This senior IC role provides horizontal architectural leadership across Platform Engineering, Product Engineering, Security and Operations, and it does not manage a team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Enterprise/Domain/Technology Architecture experience in complex environments.
• Experience operating horizontally across multiple engineering/product organizations.
• Strong cloud/platform architecture background with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Deep technical knowledge in Terraform, Kubernetes, cloud migration, distributed systems, security, identity, or observability.
• Strong executive presence, communication, collaboration, and diplomacy.
• Experience influencing teams and leaders without direct reporting authority.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the enterprise target-state architecture for cloud, platform, integration, identity, observability, security, and shared services.
• Bridge Platform Engineering and Product Engineering, aligning shared platform capabilities with enterprise needs.
• Establish architecture standards, guardrails, and reusable patterns across domains.
• Lead cross-domain architecture decisions, modernization initiatives, and cloud/platform transformation.
• Influence senior technology leaders and engineering teams without direct authority.
• Help bring greater architectural consistency to a historically siloed technology environment.

Job description

• Onsite, Monday thru Thursday, Miami, Florida 33126. Fridays are remote.
• Please note: This position is currently structured as a 3-month contract with the potential to convert to full-time. However, our client is also open to considering a direct-hire arrangement from the outset.

Our client is building out a formal Enterprise Architecture function and is looking for a Director-level Enterprise Architecture individual contributor to establish the target-state architecture for its Enterprise Platform.

This is a senior individual contributor role — it does not manage the Enterprise Architecture team. The EA organization already has leadership in place. This position provides horizontal architectural leadership across the Enterprise Platform domain, working with Platform Engineering, Product Engineering, Security, Operations, and other architecture teams.

What You'll Do

• Define and evolve the enterprise target-state architecture for cloud, platform, integration, identity, observability, security, and shared services.

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of progressive Enterprise, Domain, or Technology Architecture experience in complex enterprise environments with proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business and architectural decisions.
• Experience operating horizontally across multiple engineering/product organizations, rather than primarily within a single delivery team.
• Strong cloud/platform architecture background with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Technical depth in areas such as Terraform, Kubernetes, cloud migration, distributed systems, integration, security, identity, or observability.
• Strong executive presence, communication, collaboration, and diplomacy.
• Experience influencing teams and leaders without direct reporting authority.
