Job Description
Lead the design, strategy, and execution of large‑scale modernization programs migrating from TIBCO middleware or other ESB platforms to AWS cloud‑native architecture.
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
- 15+ years of experience leading large‑scale modernization programs, including integration platform modernization and migrating from TIBCO or other ESB platforms to AWS cloud‑native architecture.
- Define end‑to‑end target architecture for migration from TIBCO to AWS, covering integration patterns (API‑led, event‑driven, batch, file‑based, orchestration), application modernization strategy, data architecture (transactional + analytical), platform and infrastructure architecture.
- Define architecture principles, standards, and guardrails for cloud‑native development.
- Design a wave‑based migration strategy aligned to a wave/multi‑pattern approach.
- Manage coexistence between TIBCO and AWS during migration.
- Define cutover strategy: dual‑run / shadowing approach, zero‑downtime migration, rollback mechanisms.
- Ensure architecture meets high throughput and low latency requirements, horizontal scalability, fault tolerance, and resiliency.
- Experience in AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, SNS, Step Functions, EKS, S3, etc.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to migration complexity, dependency management, performance bottlenecks, and data integrity.
- Define contingency plans for rollbacks and failure scenarios; ensure production readiness across all waves.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Define the target‑state architecture, transformation roadmap, modernization patterns, governance standards, and ensure alignment across business, application, data, integration, and infrastructure layers.
- Ensure high performance, low latency, scalability, and resilience for systems handling high‑volume data and event processing.
- Drive AI‑assisted engineering adoption (Cursor AI, Kiro, or GitHub Copilot) to accelerate migration, standardize implementations, and optimize delivery at scale.
- Drive governance, federation, security, and compliance frameworks.
- Lead POCs and architectural validations for critical requirements.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into solution design.
- Guide engineering teams on best practices and platform optimization.
- Deliver overall technical architecture and solution blueprint for the target system.
- Ability to work with multi‑stakeholder teams and support digital transformation and journey to the cloud.
