Job summary

Frost is seeking an Engineering Capability Leader - API to drive the enterprise API strategy and platform governance across technology teams. You will lead design and implementation of scalable APIs and microservices while partnering with product owners and engineers to deliver high-quality systems.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of software engineering, integration platforms, or distributed systems experience.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise APIs and microservices architectures.
• Experience building and operating API platforms and gateway technologies.
• Strong knowledge of API governance, security controls, and performance management.
• Proven ability to lead a team and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the bank's enterprise API strategy and governance.
• Own the API platform, gateway, authentication, developer portal, and catalog.
• Lead design standards, documentation, and adoption practices across tech teams.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Analysts, and Engineers to estimate effort and feasibility.
• Build secure, reusable frameworks enabling teams to deliver APIs effectively.
• Enforce API design, security, and reliability standards.
