Job summary

Zekai is seeking a Member of Technical Staff, Enterprise AI to serve as a forward-deployed research partner embedded within enterprise AI systems. The role focuses on real-world failure modes, rapid experimentation, and improving system performance in remote settings.

The candidate will design datasets, evaluation protocols, and agentic workflows, while producing actionable analyses. This position is fully remote and global, with a focus on robust, scalable AI deployments.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in CS/ML/AI or related field.
• Experience designing ML datasets and evaluation protocols.
• Ability to translate ambiguous issues into structured research problems.
• Familiarity with RL environments and agentic evaluation.
• Clear, concise communicator with bias toward actionable insight.
• Proven ability to execute in fast iteration cycles and high-ambiguity settings.
• Collaborative mindset with cross-team experience.

Responsibilities

• Embed within enterprise AI workflows as a research collaborator.
• Surface and prioritize real-world system failure modes.
• Design high-signal datasets and evaluation protocols for weaknesses.
• Run tight experimental loops to validate hypotheses and quantify improvements.
• Produce clear, decision-oriented analyses of system behavior and performance.
• Develop and benchmark agentic workflows for robustness and scalability.
• Build lightweight tooling to support evaluation and data curation.
• Contribute to internal and external research artifacts, including reports and benchmarks.
