Job summary

Kirkland & Ellis is seeking an AI Engineer II to design, build, and optimize enterprise AI solutions across IT and Litigation Practice Technology. You will own the full AI lifecycle—from architecture to deployment—while collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring peers.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in software/AI development, strong Python, and experience with Azure AI services, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• Hands-on 3–5 years in software/AI development with end-to-end delivery.
• Strong Python skills for AI/ML model development and APIs.
• Experience with Azure AI services and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD, IaC (Terraform/Bicep), and modern APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, secure AI architecture translating business needs into technical plans.
• Build and deploy AI models, LLM/RAG apps across enterprise environments.
• Create evaluation frameworks with regression tests andBenchmarks.
• Diagnose issues across AI systems and implement long-term fixes.
• Develop automated pipelines for AI delivery using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Python, PowerShell.
• Ensure security standards, governance, and Responsible AI compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing.
