Job summary

Island is seeking a Test Development Engineer in Dallas to design and execute manual and automated tests, collaborating with R&D to ensure high-quality enterprise products. You will drive innovations to reduce test time and adapt plans to real-world environments, while fixing defects across product areas.

The role requires 4+ years of manual testing experience, hands-on AI tool usage, and a background in automation for enterprise software. A CS degree is preferred. On-site role in Dallas, TX.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in manual test design.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and agents (Claude Code, Cursor) to write and maintain test code.
• Experience in automation test development for an enterprise product.
• Creative problem solving to meet challenging requirements.
• Degree in computer science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and run both manual and automated test scenarios.
• Work closely with R&D engineering teams to ensure high-quality releases.
• Lead test solution innovations to reduce test time and improve quality.
• Understand customers' use cases to adapt testing plans accordingly.
• Fix bugs in test suites and across Island’s products.
