Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. seeks a visionary engineering leader to drive enterprise AI, GenAI, and automation initiatives, reporting to the VP of Engineering. You will own the full AI/GenAI lifecycle from ideation to production, guiding cross-functional teams and shaping responsible AI usage.

The role emphasizes multi-cloud platforms, dimensional governance, and scalable MLOps, with a focus on transforming engineering, quality, and supply chain operations at scale.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in software engineering, data science, or AI/ML.
• 7+ years leading large engineering or AI teams.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale AI/GenAI programs with measurable business impact.
• Experience deploying RPA programs at scale (UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, or equivalent).
• Experience leading governance, security, and legal review processes for AI/GenAI deployments in regulated contexts.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the enterprise AI/GenAI strategy and PoC-to-production delivery across domains.
• Architect and govern the Enterprise Agentic AI Strategy and deploy multi-agent frameworks at scale.
• Drive fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and domain adaptation for AI models; contribute to governance.
• Lead end-to-end MLOps programs and modernize ML infrastructure across teams.
• Architect enterprise LLM Platform with multi-cloud access and secure integrations.
• Lead RPA Center of Excellence and enterprise-scale automation programs with KPIs.
