Job summary

Supermicro seeks a forward-deployed architect to partner with customers for discovery, workshops, and proofs of concept. You will design the AI factory, stand the first system up with the customer’s team, and package the design for repeatable deployment across thousands of customers.

You will collaborate with Supermicro sales, factory engineering, and NVIDIA field architects. Networking, GPU HPC systems, and data center power and cooling are core concerns as you take designs to production

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• 12+ years as a solution architect, data center architect, or consultant, with production deployments you can point to.
• Experience designing hybrid AI or HPC estates: private / on-prem plus public cloud and/or GPU cloud / neocloud.
• Experience taking large GPU/HPC systems from first workshop to production, including networking and data center power and cooling.
• Working knowledge of NVIDIA data center GPU platforms and software.
• NVIDIA certification is desirable.
• Working knowledge of AMD and Intel server platforms and of major storage and networking products.
• Experience with regulated data, on-premises inference, or scientific computing is strongly preferred.
• Ability to travel to customer sites for multi-day workshops and POCs.

Responsibilities

• Forward-deployed customer architecture within life sciences, healthcare, or financial services accounts; collaborate with scientists, risk, infrastructure, and security teams.
• Workshop, POC, and production handoff: run workshops, bring up workloads on Supermicro hardware, document the production design for repeatable deployment.
• Enablement and field leadership: train sales and field engineers, represent Supermicro at events in relevant verticals.
