Job summary

Logistic Dynamics Corporation is seeking an experienced logistics professional to lead weekend operations for a large book of business. You will manage a team of 3–5 dispatchers, oversee load coverage, scheduling, shipment execution, and proactive customer communication on Saturdays and Sundays.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in 3PL, freight brokerage operations, and customer account management, with the ability to make independent decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3PL or freight brokerage operations experience is required.
• Experience leading dispatchers or an operations team.
• Experience supporting enterprise and mid-market shippers with demanding service expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 5–10 dispatchers, assign priorities, balance workloads, and ensure responsibilities are completed.
• Manage weekend operations across a high-volume portfolio of enterprise and mid-market customer accounts.
• Secure load coverage, source carriers, negotiate rates, and recover loads when carriers fall off.
• Coordinate pickup and delivery appointments, scheduling changes, and facility communication.
• Monitor shipments to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries, tracking, and customer requirements.
• Provide proactive tracking, timely updates, and consistent follow-through.
• Serve as the weekend escalation contact for customers, carriers, drivers, and facilities.
• Identify service risks early and resolve delays, missed appointments, capacity shortages, and disruptions.
• Maintain shipment notes, tracking updates, and documentation in the TMS.
• Coordinate handoffs with weekday team and follow-up priorities.
• Protect customer relationships and account profitability through sound judgment.

• Maintain accurate shipment notes, tracking updates, and documentation in the transportation management system.
• Coordinate thorough handoffs with the weekday team, including outstanding issues, upcoming appointments, and follow-up priorities.
• Protect customer relationships and account profitability through sound judgment and dependable execution.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in 3PL or freight brokerage operations and customer account management is required.
• Experience leading dispatchers or an operations team.
• Experience supporting enterprise and mid-market shippers with demanding service expectations.
• Strong understanding of load coverage, carrier sourcing, rate negotiation, scheduling, tracking, and exception management.
• Ability to prioritize competing needs, delegate effectively, and hold team members accountable.
• Clear, professional communication and strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with transportation management systems, shipment tracking platforms, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and consistently cover the stated Friday–Sunday schedule.
• Refrigerated freight and cold-chain experience preferred.
