Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Cincinnati VA Medical Center seeks a Service Chief for Otolaryngology (ENT).

The position provides direct surgical care to inpatients and outpatients, supports education of surgical residents and students, and participates in clinical research and administrative duties. The Chief also manages the subspecialty, including resources, policy implementation, proficiency reports, and fiscal oversight.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Current, full and unrestricted medical license in the United States.
• Board certification or eligibility in Otolaryngology.
• Completion of an ACGME- or comparable-accredited otolaryngology residency.
• Strong English communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct surgical care to inpatients and outpatients in Otolaryngology.
• Lead and supervise residents and medical students in clinical settings.
• Participate in education, research, and administrative activities.
• Oversee subspecialty resources, policy implementation, and reporting.
• Engage in telemedicine and regional clinical support as appropriate.
