Job summary

The Veterans Health Administration, Phoenix VA Health Care System, seeks a Chief of Otolaryngology to oversee clinical quality, define scope of practice, and drive quality improvements within the Otolaryngology Service and VISN 22. The role combines clinical leadership with administrative oversight and program evaluation.

Ideal candidates will have an MD, an active US medical license, and board-eligible residency; board certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• MD degree from an approved school.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the United States.
• Residency in an approved core specialty with board eligibility or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Clinical leadership: spend 75% of time on clinical duties and provide airway care.
• Supervise trainees and staff within the Otolaryngology Service.
• Ensure timely completion of charting and documentation; participate in program evaluation.

Education

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent

Current full and unrestricted medical license

Residency training approved by ACGME/AOA
