The Service Line Leader provides strategic, operational, and financial leadership for the Otolaryngology service line across the health system. Working in partnership with physician leadership, nursing leadership, and executive administration, this position develops and executes strategies to improve growth, patient access, quality, operational performance, financial stewardship, and patient experience across all ENT specialty programs.
The Service Line Leader provides oversight of practice operations while leading long-term strategic planning, program development, market expansion, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Eleven (11) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus seven (7) years of related experience/training in business administration including four (5+) or more years of progressively responsible leadership experience.
Experience and proven success in clinic/center management experience, with progressive expertise in practice management, scheduling, customer-service methods, incident reporting, regulatory compliance, accreditation requirements, and information technology.

Proven ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, and delegate work functions efficiently.

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills to convey complex information, instructions, and guidelines in a clear, concise, and specific manner, and to influence and persuade all levels of staff.
Knowledge of relevant healthcare and clinic operations information technology, including billing systems and patient care workflows and processes.
Demonstrated knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, as well as related legislative, accreditation, licensing, and compliance environments.
Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, MPH, or related field).
Experience leading ambulatory specialty service lines.
Experience within an academic health system.
Experience in Otolaryngology, Audiology, Neurosciences, Surgery, or other procedural specialties.
Experience with physician practice management.
Experience in a unionized environment.
Experience managing budgets, strategic initiatives, and capital planning.
Lean or Six Sigma certification.

Annual Full Pay Range: $111,300 - $211,100 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $53.30 - $101.10
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
