Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network in Bethlehem, PA, seeks a Physician to provide medical services in general care in both practice and hospital settings.

The physician will perform history and physical exams, develop cost-effective, high-quality care plans, and participate in quality and patient-satisfaction initiatives. Requirements include graduation from an accredited medical school, completion of residency/fellowship, and MD or DO licensure in the state; board certification or eligibility

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical school.
• Completion of residency and/or fellowship in area of specialty.

Responsibilities

• Performs history and physical examination of all patients seen.
• Provide cost-effective, high-quality care based on best practice evidenced based medicine.
• Make best efforts to adhere to standardized orders and practice guidelines that have been approved by the medical staff.
• Demonstrates competency in assessment and treatment appropriate to patient age.
• Provide regular, timely communication with referring physicians, patients and families.
• Participates in education of patients and families.
• Coordinates patient care and makes referrals as needed.
• Teaches wellness habits and educates patients on prevention of health problems.
