Job summary

Reston Ear, Nose, & Throat, an affiliate of SENTA Partners, seeks a compassionate medical assistant with 1–2 years of ENT experience to support both pediatric and adult patients in a busy ENT practice.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable using EMR systems and able to thrive independently and within a collaborative team, assisting in outpatient and inpatient care and in-office procedures as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years ENT experience preferred.
• Comfortable using EMR systems.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the managed care of outpatients and inpatients with physicians.
• Diagnose and treat ENT diseases with pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic means.
• Order diagnostic testing.
• Perform in-office procedures (cerumen removal, nasal endoscopy, laryngoscopy, sutures/removal, dressing changes, and biopsies).
• Provide patient education regarding ENT disease processes.
• Participate in monthly call coverage.
• Assist the physicians with pre- and post-op care.
