Job summary

Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care under physician/APP supervision in an ambulatory ENT setting. The position requires travel to Brandon, Carrollwood, and Wesley Chapel, with hours Mon–Thu 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Responsibilities include patient data gathering, exam preparation, and assisting during examinations, procedures, and treatments. Strong communication and teamwork are essential; BLS is required and several MA certifications are listed

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school (or verifiable applicable work experience in a patient care setting).
• Maintains current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider Certification and MA credentialing per agency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Accountable to the Assistant Nurse Manager, Nursing Operations Manager, or Practice Manager for operational issues.
• Gathers patient data through interviews and observation.
• Assist patients and families with preparation for examination.
• Assists the physician or APP during examination and procedures.
• Documents treatments and patient education according to Orlando Health policies.
• Enter medication, laboratory and diagnostic imaging orders into the EMR under provider direction.
