Job summary

Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support patient care under the direction of the physician in an ambulatory setting. The position requires travel to Brandon, Carrollwood, and Wesley Chapel, with a Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm schedule.

You will perform routine clinical tasks, document data, assist with examinations and procedures, and collaborate with nurses and staff to ensure quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school (or at least one year of verifiable and applicable work experience as a CMA).
• Maintains current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification and CMA/CCMA/CMAC/NCMA/NRCMA/NRCAMA certifications as listed.

Responsibilities

• Accountable to the Manager for operational issues.
• Supports quality initiatives and clinical outcome improvements.
• Communicates effectively with patients and family members.
• Gathers patient data through interviews and observation.
• Assists physicians/APP during examinations and procedures.
• Documents patient data and education per policies.
• Schedules specialty testing and physician consultations.
