Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with RNFA to join the Otolaryngology Endocrine Surgery team. The role offers a hybrid practice model, ambulatory care emphasis, postoperative follow-up, and potential operating room involvement for carefully selected cases.

The position requires advanced practice credentials, inpatient/outpatient experience, and the ability to work Monday–Friday with some call. Location: Lake Forest and Grayslake campuses.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited nursing or PA program.
• Acute care certification required for APRNs.
• First Assist Certification for all APRNs.
• Current Illinois RN and APRN licenses with credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments and physical examinations.
• Provide direct clinical care and prescribe medications as appropriate.
• Coordinate with physicians and other health professionals.
• Educate patients and families; document care in charts.
• Participate in quality improvement and research activities.
• Maintain licensure, certifications, and hospital privileging.
