Job summary

UT Health Athens Hospital in Athens, TX is seeking a day shift, full-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support ENT services. You will perform administrative tasks and clinical duties under physician supervision, including rooming patients, taking vital signs, and assisting with procedures.

The role requires CMA or RMA certification, high school diploma or GED, EMR and MS Office familiarity, and BLS within 14 days of hire. Prior clinic experience is a plus. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate from an accredited medical assistant program is required.
• Current CMA or RMA certification.
• Basic EMR and Microsoft Office knowledge.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role.

Responsibilities

• Performs administrative and clinical duties under the direction of a physician.
• Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes.
• Clinical duties may include rooming patients, taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.
