UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to deliver inpatient (50%) and outpatient (50%) ENT care. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, multitasking, and teamwork within multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate holds a master’s degree in PA or nursing with appropriate state licensure and prescriptive authority, plus ACLS/ Life Support certification.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in physician assistant; ARC-PA accredited program.
• Or Master’s degree or higher in nursing with accredited Advanced Practice Education.
• Texas license and prescriptive authority as required by board.

Responsibilities

• Conducts and documents initial and ongoing physical examinations by age and diagnosis.
• Develops care plans and orders/tests; interprets results.
• Demonstrates proficiency in procedures appropriate to specialty and training.
• Provides counseling and education to patients and families.
• Participates in quality initiatives and clinical research protocols.
• Collaborates on research projects and applies evidence-based practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
