UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to deliver inpatient (50%) and outpatient (50%) care in Otolaryngology. The ideal candidate emphasizes patient-centered care, multitasking ability, and teamwork in a multidisciplinary setting.

The role involves daytime M-F schedule with no call or weekend coverage. ENTs with experience are preferred; veterans are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a master's degree or higher ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Master's degree or higher in nursing; Texas Board of Nursing authorization must align with practice area.
• Certification by NCCPA and Texas PA licensure; or RN/NP with prescriptive authority.

Responsabilités

• Conducts comprehensive initial and ongoing physical exams across age/diagnosis.
• Synthesize data to develop and evaluate patient care plans with tests as needed.
• Demonstrates proficiency in procedural skills relevant to specialty and training.
• Provide management, referrals, counseling, and education to patients and families.
• Participate in quality initiatives, workshops, and research to improve practice.
• Collaborate on research projects; apply evidence-based practices to care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Formation

Master's degree or higher in Physician Assistant program (ARC-PA accredited)

Master's degree or higher in nursing with APRN/NP education and Texas Board of Nursing authorization
