Job summary

Ursinus College seeks an Assistant Director of Admission to drive recruitment and enrollment efforts within an assigned territory. You will report to the Director of Admission and collaborate with senior colleagues to implement a team-based enrollment management model across events, visits, and yield initiatives.

You will lead interviews and information sessions, build strong relationships with students, families, and counselors, and coordinate with Financial Services to optimize yield.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of progressively responsible admission, higher education, or related experience.
• In-depth knowledge of the liberal arts and a celebration of diversity.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Driver’s license and US passport; ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement all admission-related events in consultation with the Director of Admission.
• Oversee the admission visitor experience, including in-person and virtual events such as visits, overnights, open houses, and yield events.
• Respond to inquiries regarding applications, admission policies, financial aid, and program offerings in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain relationships with prospective students and families through various channels.
• Establish relationships with secondary schools and counselors via recruitment events and outreach.
• Conduct interviews and information sessions, serving as a liaison between students/parents and campus programs.
• Collaborate with Student Financial Services and other offices to support yield and conversion.
• Oversee a special project to enhance yield and leadership skills under supervision.
• Travel extensively within recruitment territory (domestic & international), 8–12 weeks annually, including events.
