Job summary

TVCCA is seeking an In School Youth Career Advisor to work directly with youth meeting WIOA guidelines. The role requires high energy, self-motivation, organization, and the ability to multitask while delivering comprehensive services to enrolled clients, including career exploration, job placement, financial literacy, mentorship, and follow-up support.

A strong customer service mindset and reliable transportation are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least three years of related work experience.
• Excellent customer service, computer and communication skills.
• Spanish speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide WIOA core and registered services to enrolled clients.
• Support academic and career development, transition planning, job placement/internships, and portfolio documenting.
• Deliver mentorship, leadership and communication/team-building development.
• Ensure follow-up and retention services.

JOB SUMMARY: This position works directly with In School Youth who meet the Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act (WIOA) guidelines. This individual must possess high energy and motivation to assist youth in meeting their program goals. He/She should be a self-starter who can work independently, be well organized, able to multitask, and prioritize projects. The WIOA In School Youth Career Advisor provides WIOA core and registered services to all enrolled clients. These services include but are not limited to academic support, career assessment, transition planning, career exploration, job placement/internship/work –based learning opportunities, portfolio documenting, financial literacy, basic skills training, mentorship, leadership, communication/team building development, support services, follow-up and retention services.
