Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Attend regular sales/marketing meetings and contribute to outreach plans.

Duties & Responsibilities

Purpose of Position: Under supervision, identifies qualified participants and educates them as to the benefits of selecting MetroPlus as a managed care provider. Achieves predetermined monthly enrollments based on regularly updated goals and objectives. May provide training of and/or supervision to subordinate staff, and maintains positive public relations presence within the community.

Examples Of Typical Tasks

• Implement methods, activities and action plans necessary to achieve daily, weekly and monthly objectives.
• Presents clear and accurate information regarding health plan to eligible recipients and community-at-large.
• Performs group and individual presentations for purpose of educating and enrolling qualified participants in a variety of arenas including but not limited to income support centers, provider sites, churches, WIC programs and shelters.
• Presents MetroPlus Health Plan information to HHC employees at annually designated open enrollment periods.
• Performs telemarketing activities as appropriate for purposes of enrollment and follow-up activity.
• Maintains accurate documentation related to enrollment and field activities.
• Participates in regularly scheduled sales/marketing meetings as required.
• Performs other related tasks as directed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of three months of training and orientation administered by MHP personnel; or,
• High School graduation or evidence of having satisfactorily passed a High School

Equivalency Program; and,

• Demonstrated skills in written and or oral communication; and,
• Minimum one year of experience in direct consumer contact, sales and/or social services; or,
• A satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Knowledge of a second language may be required.

Special Notes

• For placement in Assignment Level II, candidates must possess one (1) year of experience in Assignment Level I or an additional year of related full-time experience.
• For placement in Assignment Level III, candidates must possess one (1) year of experience in Assignment Level II or an additional two (2) years of related full-time experience, with at least one (1) of those years in a supervisory capacity.
