Job summary

University of Alaska Anchorage is seeking an Assistant Director of Communications for the Enrollment Services Department. This role leads marketing and communications initiatives to support recruitment and engagement, coordinating campaigns and projects, and supervising staff.

The successful candidate will bring strong writing, visual design, and multimedia skills, and is expected to guide projects from concept to completion while ensuring quality and consistency across communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or related field with four years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading marketing and communications initiatives for enrollment or similar programs.
• Strong writing, visual design and multimedia skills; ability to supervise staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead marketing and communications initiatives to support recruitment and engagement in Enrollment Services.
• Coordinate campaigns and projects; supervise and mentor staff.
• Ensure communications align with UAA/UA brand and accessibility standards; manage print production and creative work.
