Job summary

HealthOne is seeking an Enrollment & Billing Representative to handle accurate enrollment and billing for individual and group health insurance policies, plus related administration of Health Reimbursement Arrangements.

You will maintain documents, update records, and respond to enrollment and billing queries following defined policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; college coursework preferred
• 1–3 years general work experience
• Minimum 1 year health plan experience preferred
• Familiarity with insurance terms and concepts
• Intermediate skill with Microsoft Excel and Word

Responsibilities

• Processes enrollments from a variety of sources, including paper enrollment, emailed and faxed enrollments, and electronic (834) enrollments
• Processes billing, invoices, invoice corrections, and payments for individual, group, and ancillary plan members
• Processes terminations for non-payment according to Company policies and procedures
• Researches and responds to appeals, HICS tickets, DOI complaints, and other grievances related to eligibility, enrollment, and billing
• Uses defined process and procedures to update and reconcile enrollment and billing data
• Responds to questions and concerns from internal and external parties
• Researches and resolves basic enrollment and billing related issues
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance
• Consistently demonstrates compliance with HIPAA regulations, professional conduct, and ethical practice
• Works to encourage and promote Company culture throughout the organization
• Regular and predictable attendance
• Other duties as may be assigned

JOB PURPOSE

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Moderate to significant amount of stress in meeting deadlines and dealing with day-to-day responsibilities. Must be able to drive a vehicle and daytime/overnight travel as required.
