Job summary

Belmont Village Rancho Santa Fe is seeking an Activity Enrichment Leader to bring engaging, research-based programs to cognitively impaired seniors. You will lead small-group fitness, art, music, thought-provoking discussions, and enrichment activities using our established curriculum.

Ideal candidates have an Associate degree with related coursework, at least 6 months of group leadership experience, and the ability to work weekends.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree with coursework in Recreation Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, Education or related field.
• Minimum of 6 months leading group activities with a special needs population.
• Ability to work weekends.
• Clear verbal and written English communication.
• Professional, pleasant, adaptable with a team oriented attitude.
• Consistent and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Leading and teaching small groups of cognitively impaired seniors using our Whole Brain Fitness programs.
• Preparing materials and conducting research to lead engaging memory enrichment activities.
• Assisting with cognitive assessments, tracking participation, and maintaining documentation.

Our brand-new senior living community is preparing for its grand opening, and we’re building an exceptional Activity Enrichment team to create engaging, purposeful experiences for our residents.

As an Activity Enrichment Leader at Belmont Village Senior Living, you’ll use an established, research-based curriculum to lead small-group fitness, art, music, thought provoking discussions, and enrichment programs for cognitively impaired older adults. YOUR TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leading and teaching small groups of cognitively impaired seniors using our award winning therapeutic Whole Brain Fitness programs.
• Preparing materials and conducting relevant research to confidently lead engaging memory enrichment activities
• Assisting with Cognitive Assessments, tracking and trending of resident participation and maintaining compliance related documentation

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS ROL E
