Job summary

Belmont Village Senior Living in Calabasas is seeking an Enrichment Leader to plan and implement memory enrichment activities for residents with dementia. You will lead small groups, prepare materials, and help maintain compliance and documentation as part of our Whole Brain Fitness program.

This full-time role requires an associates degree in recreation therapy, social work, psychology or related field, and at least 6 months of group activity leadership with a special needs population.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree with coursework in Recreation Therapy, Social Work, Psychology or related field.
• Minimum of 6 months leading group activities with a special needs population.
• Ability to work the defined schedule which may include weekends.
• Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English.

About The Role

As an Enrichment Leader with Belmont Village Senior Living, you will make a meaningful difference for cognitively impaired seniors each day by planning, organizing and implementing specialized activities for a small group of residents living with dementia. Enrichment Leaders are responsible for leading engaging group activities by following our award-winning memory enrichment program curriculum. Enrichment Leaders excel in a fast-paced position, collaborate effectively, and enjoy helping seniors to thrive as they age.

Your Typical Responsibilities

• Leading and teaching small groups of cognitively impaired seniors in our award winning therapeutic Whole Brain Fitness programs.
• Preparing materials and conducting relevant research to confidently lead engaging memory enrichment activities
• Assisting with Cognitive Assessments, tracking and trending of resident participation and maintaining compliance related documentation
